But while new housing amouts to 70% of the square meters built per year, it only makes up to 1% of the housing stock. The high quality of use, ecological innovation and the resilience of these 0.05% of the housing stock corresponding to new housing designed by architects must now be understood as assumptions taking precedence over financial interest.
