Together, they will form the first complex of buildings in the new Gratte-Ciel district of Villeurbanne, which the agency has been developing since 2014 as an urban planner.<\/p>\n<p>The block reads like a micro-town, made up of plunging elements, marked functions, but connected by a unique geometry. The size of the different buildings form a tiered ensemble that echoes the Skyscrapers of Villeurbanne. The base of the building which runs from the ground floor to the outdoor basketball court displays a prefabricated die-cast concrete cladding. Its monumentality is lessened by the presence of an expanded metal mesh which protects the south tympanum of the multi-purpose room on R + 3.<\/p>\n<p>A tight-knit stainless steel net protects the west facade, protecting it from the balls of the outdoor area and secures access from the square. Passers-by can enjoy a bird&#8217;s eye view of the grounds and watch sports activities through the large bay windows on the north facade.<\/p>\n<p>Visitors can take a seat on the telescopic stand of the north facade without disrupting sports activities, and athletes can access the field from the locker rooms. The removable bleachers can be divided and easily handled. It is naturally lit and ventilated. On its domed roof, two extraction chimneys limit the use of the comfort ventilation in summer and mid-season by using natural ventilation.<\/p>\n<p>Mostly glazed on the east and west sides, the room is equipped with a dance bar which privacy is provided by the metal mesh.<\/p>\n<p>This 600m\u00b2 room with a 9 meter-high vault offers plenty room for dancers. The vault is made up of a glulam arched timber frame. Its height is of 9m x 24m non-straight linear.<\/p>\n<p>Its modeling ensures that there are no obstacles to double the projections of the wall while a curtain isolates it from the rest of the large room.<\/p>\n<p>The outdoor sports field is accessible either from the internal circulation of the gymnasium or directly from the public space using the outdoor staircase. A net lined with a metal mesh both protects users and prevents the falling of balloons.
