a protected<\/b> living space<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

At the heart of a high-density district, the Beaulieu site looks like a large void, three sides of which are bordered by housing units between R + 3 and R + 4, and the fourth by a green strip.<\/p>\n

Setting up a school program for children aged 11 to 15 in the vastness of this plot first consisted in resizing a living space.<\/p>\n

Like a protective enclosure opening onto abundant vegetation, the building is then located in line with the non-aedificandi zone and opens onto the public garden. The entrance is naturally made at the junction of rue Tamaarouft and boulevard de Bordeaux, a large square that reflects the image of an open but protective college.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>

the entrance behind
<\/b> the openworked awning<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

\n The wooden openworked awning gives a glimpse of the activity of the entrance hall. Upon reaching the ground, it creates a screen and secures the high-school entrance. In addition, the buildings are located more than 5m a 2.70 meter high wall that surrounds it, overhung by an anti-crossing system. <\/span>\n <\/p>\n

\n Only the entrance, the reception of deliveries and the technical rooms energize the long linear wall which deforms like a ribbon made of foldings and expected extrusions.<\/span>\n <\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>

<\/b> programmatic architecture <\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

The two- and three-story monolithic bodies overlooking the ground floor are the result of a rational programmatic reading. To adapt the scale of the building to the young children who will attend the site, the heights of the buildings are lowered by deconstructing the volumes.<\/p>\n

The general education buildings are crenellated up to R + 2 and the west building R + 3. Thus, some special education rooms have terraces. Mixing openings and exterior extensions, this cut-out architecture reduces the massiveness of the building and creates volumes of shadows and lights reminiscent of Mediterranean architecture.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>
