Block BE4, at the heart of the Vallon R\u00e9gny ZAC designed by ANMA, demonstrates the architectural invariants developed by the agency to enhance quality of life.<\/p>\n

It combines 4 fundamental approaches:<\/p>\n

The thinness of the built thickness<\/strong>, which allows through-housing with sunshine from morning to night.<\/p>\n

Nature in the city<\/strong>, with an emphasis on views towards planted island cores and green belvederes.<\/p>\n

The roof architecture<\/strong>, which makes it possible to live on the roofs, caps the buildings and makes the 5th fa\u00e7ade accessible through houses on the roofs that cut into the sky.<\/p>\n

Verticality<\/strong>, with its interplay of solids, voids, setbacks and recesses, breaks down “bar” effects and sensations of excessive density.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>

 <\/p>\n

Facing the future public square, overlooking the Parc National des Calanques and located between the future Boulevard Urbain Sud and Rue Marta Hartmann, the mixed-use block comprises 70 homes, a concierge service, shops, Soho apartments\/workshops and a parking lot. Three narrow, tiered buildings are laid out in a U-shape, topped by overhanging roofs, freeing up a large garden at the heart of the block.<\/p>\n

It’s a green lung for the neighborhood: open green spaces planted with tall trees that will provide a cool canopy in summer, and a natural setting between the tiered housing units.<\/p>\n

The gradual layering of the slender buildings enables the design of well-exposed, walk-through homes with natural ventilation and planted terraces. Most of them feature first-day kitchens and naturally lit bathrooms. <\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>
