enedis <\/b>in the cataroux of tomorrow<\/h2>\n

The new Enedis regional headquarters is located on the Cataroux site, between Clermont-Ferrand and Montferrand: a 50-hectare industrial enclave in the heart of the city that has marked its history and that of the Michelin group.<\/p>\n

This natural site where the Tiretaine used to flow, between the relief of Mont Chanturgue and Montferrand, has been urbanized for industry by channelling it. The Metropole and Manufacture Fran\u00e7aise des Pneumatiques Michelin are currently working together on an urban plan to transform the site while preserving its identity.<\/p>\n

In the north-west of the city, the ILO23 project led by Quartus is a first step towards the transformation and opening-up of this high-potential site.<\/p>\n

The conversion of the former Halles 23 into a mixed-use program of housing, business and shops, will create a new ecological and sustainable identity for the Cataroux district.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>

Set in line with the internal street of the Ilo23 project and the facade of the existing hall, the building creates a generous forecourt, announced by a canopy that filters the light diffusing into the reception hall. To the north, an active facade of reception and dining areas brings natural light into all common spaces.<\/p>\n

Separated into two distinct cores, the vertical circulation systems are in direct communication with the parking area on the first 3 floors, which has 300 parking spaces. The positioning of the company restaurant leaves open the possibility of converting the space into additional reception or meeting rooms.<\/p>\n

Self-contained and secure, the complex enables users to take advantage of the services and shops that will be available in the converted Halle O23. For the district, this office complex, which can accommodate almost 500 employees, is already a symbol of new attractiveness.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>

The fa\u00e7ade translates the constructive skeleton and expresses itself in a unique language. The industrial framework of the concrete structure marks the mall with a structured base that brings rhythm and life to the neighborhood.<\/p>\n

It is insulated from the outside and clad in white-gray metal cladding. A glazed infill on a spandrel integrates into the framework while allowing the office partitions to evolve.<\/p>\n

The parking levels are concealed by vegetation, while the terraces and all flat flat roofs are also planted.<\/p>\n

Facing east\/west, the offices are protected by fixed micro-perforated metal canopies that extend from the spandrel. The roof slopes are continuous with the facades. The central horizontal sections are partly occupied by English courtyards housing technical equipment.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>

At the heart of the urban project to reintegrate the Michelin factory site into the city, on the site of the ILO23 project, the new Enedis headquarters marks the entrance to the Cataroux district of tomorrow. Comprising two parallel naves, it can be recognized by its elegant two-headed silhouette.<\/p>\n

In an environmentally-friendly approach, the project incorporates 3 levels of parking covered by hanging gardens at the heart of the building, above a ground floor dedicated to reception, catering and logistics. The two autonomous naves span 5 and 2 levels and house the tertiary sector of the program, which is double-height on the top level. The main nave, tapered at either end by a succession of terraces, opens up terraced outdoor domestic spaces, allowing visitors to discover the grandeur of the landscape.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>
