On May 11, 2022, the CAUE Rhône Métropole and ANMA organized the round table “New views on soils, new manufacturing of the city” as the closing conference of the first hanging in Lyon of their joint exhibition “Terre Terrain Territoire: Une lecture de la fabrique urbaine par le sol”.
On this occasion, Christian Piel (urban planner and hydrologist, UrbanWater), Mélusine Hucault (architect and urban planner, ANMA), Sébastien Chambe (deputy director general of urban planning and mobility, Metropole de Lyon), Sébastien Sperto (director, CAUE RM) and Yann Gérard (regional director, Adéquation) were able to cross-reference their approaches to taking into account the soil in territorial planning, by tackling in particular the following questions
What roles for soils in the adaptation of cities to climate change? What new uses for the land and public space in relation to the living world? Which tools to develop tomorrow’s soils?
