urban strategy
territory-wide
At the heart of the Limay-Porcheville business park in the Yvelines department, ANMA is carrying out a study on behalf of Grand Paris Seine et Oise (GPSEO) to restructure and revitalize a fragmented 450-hectare industrial area. On this XXL-scale perimeter, from the Vaucouleurs site in Mantes-la-Ville to the Coteaux du Vexin, the agency is leading a two-pronged approach: redeveloping existing infrastructures and developing 70 hectares of urban renewal economic activities.
Situated along the Seine Valley and belonging to the network of active industrial ports of Le Havre, Rouen and Paris (Haropa ports), this strategically located industrial zone has been built up over the years without any overall urban or landscape concern.
an attractive
territory
While the business park has strong development potential, thanks to its growing attractiveness and future accessibility – particularly with the arrival of the RER E by 2024 – GPSEO’s ambition is to revitalize, requalify and give a new identity to the area, drawing on its key strengths: the presence of the Vexin Regional Park, the banks of the Seine, over 200 active companies, a residential fabric, a high school and an active industrial port.
requalify
and repair
For this project, ANMA is taking both a strategic and restorative look at the area, focusing its urban prescriptions on three key areas:
- Optimize the urbanization of the area through a strategy of density, avoiding expansion and (re)building on existing land.
- Reintroduce human scale and user comfort, in particular by reducing the number of roads and promoting soft and active modes of transport.
- Reintroduce a perennial, lived-in and sustainable nature to this heavy industry sector, in particular by rediscovering the path of water and ecological corridors.
collaboration
and co-construction
In order to draw on real knowledge and needs, and in line with the shared ambitions for the transformation of this territory, the project is part of a co-construction approach dear to ANMA, through collaborative workshops with the various departments of GPSEO, the towns of Limay, Porcheville, Mantes-la-Ville and Guitrancourt, Haropa, the département, and through interviews with existing outstanding companies.
