A book that continues the research of the eponymous exhibition
In September 2023, the agency publishes the book “Terre Terrain Territoire – Discussion autour des sols”: it continues the research work initiated as part of the TTT exhibition, first shown in February 2022 and now touring around ten French cities.
The book is available in a number of general and specialist bookshops, notably in Paris, Bordeaux, Nantes and Brussels, where the ANMA agency is based.
It is also easily available to order online from the Parisian architecture bookshop Volume.
Do we really know the value of what lies beneath our feet?
Given the predominance of land value over the functional value of soils, does the scale of the territory make it possible to make development choices that are conducive to balancing man’s footprint on his environment?
In this new geometry demanded by the ecological transition, understanding the soil has become one of the primary levers for action. Do we know? It captures carbon, feeds plants and supplies them with water. Now we can guess that it too is breathing, that information is circulating…
At a time when current debates on Zero Net Artificialization are shedding light on these issues and reshuffling the cards in terms of our understanding of the impact of urban projects, Terre Terrain Territoire brings together a wide range of players to discuss the consideration of soil in urban planning.
The aim of this book is to link ecology, starting with the soil, to the economics of development, via politics and planning. It continues the research carried out in the exhibition designed by the ANMA Architectes Urbanistes agency, produced by the CAUE Rhône Métropole and supported by the ANMA Corporate Foundation.
